Rodrigo Hinzpeter, Chile's Minister of Interior, announced last Sunday that a capsule built for the rescue of 33 miners trapped in a copper mine in northern Chile will be exhibited at the Shanghai World Expo. Remember that August 5, 2010, 33 miners were trapped 700 meters underground in a mine in San Jose that collapsed and their rescue was performed successfully after 69 days of trial on October 11. As part of this rescue precisely, three capsules were built by the Chilean Navy to lift the 33 miners through a tunnel of 67 cm in diameter. Currently, three capsules will be displayed in several different places: the capsule Fenix I will be exhibited in China, the capsule Fenix II, which served to rescue the miners, will be exhibited in Santiago, Chile's capital, the square Ciudadania; and the capsule Fenix III will be on display in a city in northern Chile, where the San Jose mine, called Copiapo. For those wishing to see the capsule exposed to the China Shanghai World Expo 2010, it is advisable to buy tickets to the Expo quickly because the organizing committee of the Expo 2010 announced the end of sales and exchange of tickets in the last two days of exposure, ie 30 and 31 October, because of the busy schedule of the end of the event. Indeed, in the experience of previous World Fairs, the last week of the Expo has been identified as a peak and therefore the ticket on the site will cost 200 yuan, 40 yuan more than the usual day tickets. For those who already have a standard ticket worth 160 yuan, they can visit the Expo from 25 to 31 October by paying an extra 40 yuan, or they can exchange their ticket against two night tickets, each worth 90 yuan. In addition, tickets for the peak period are available in the outlets of the five official partners of Expo (China Brilliance Group, China Post, Bank of Communications, China Telecom and China Mobile) or at the counters.
