A Danish delegation visited the Copenhagen Office for the Coordination of the international exhibition in Shanghai to discuss the country's participation in Expo 2010. Huang Jianzhi, deputy director of the office met the delegation led by Klaus Bondam, Vice Mayor of Copenhagen. Huang explained the planning of the Expo site and updates to the construction of major facilities. Bondam said that Expo 2010 for everything related to urbanization and that Copenhagen has extensive experience on environmental conservation. He also wished that Copenhagen can show and share his experiences during the event. The Danish delegation was composed of officials of the highest ranks in charge of urban planning in Copenhagen. The Delegation of the Dominican Republic has also visited the Office for the Coordination of the international exhibition in Shanghai to discuss the preparations for the event. Yaocheng Huang, a deputy director of the Office for the Coordination of the International Exhibition in Shanghai hosted the delegation led by Juan Gilberto Serulle. Huang provides an update on preparations for the Shanghai Expo. He said the Expo 2010 would be the largest exhibition of history and bring to China as well as good numbers of opportunities and challenges. The event hopes to attract 70 million visitors. He added that the event will provide a platform that will allow the world to communicate and foster cooperation between different countries. He also wanted the Dominican Republic may confirm their participation soon. The organizers of the Shanghai Expo can provide financial assistance to help developing countries. Serulle and thanked Huang said that the Expo 2010 is dedicated to the public and has great significance. The Dominican Republic will keep close contact with the organizers to become better informed about the event. Meng Yang, vice general secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region has also visited the Expo Bureau to discuss Tibet's participation at Expo 2010. Meng has heard of the latest advances in the preparation of the Shanghai Expo as well as participation in other provinces and cities. He said that Tibet will exhibit its rich culture, tourist resources and accomplishments during this event. He also hoped that Tibet can no longer cooperate with the organizers and it will be an excellent show in 2010. Meng said that the Tibetan government attaches great importance to participation in the Shanghai Expo.
